Not sure if you just go "two" chances or non. i but passed it this week. The logical reasoning section is the part I am assuming you failed. I found information technology very similar to the logical reasoning section on the LSAT. A lot of people say you can't study for it, but they have no idea what they are talking about. Go pick upward a LSAT book and read the section on logical reasoning. There are many tricks they will teach y'all so you know what is important and what yous should be looking for in the questions. Stay sharp and expert luck.

Unfortunately, the FBI just gives applicants two attempts at passing Phase 1. The retest policy is listed on the FBI jobs site.

Any by Kaplan will work. Practice not utilize McGraw as the questions are pretty easy and didn't fix me for the questions that were on the LSAT when I used about 5 years agone. Luckily someone told me this and I used Kaplan and their questions were a lot harder and more similar to the questions on the LSAT (and the FBI Stage I test).

i found the FBI examination harder than other FedLEO exams. Try your hand at some other and you may but pass. Simply piece of work on your timing of questions.

GMC28, the best advice I can give you is look for an agency that has a big presence and/or your chances of working for them in the metropolis that you want to live in and raise your children. Some/Many agencies are hard to get transfers in and you might be stuck with an agency you lot like but in a location your other one-half or perchance yous hate. I don't know if your married, gonna get married, staying single or what. Like real estate Location, location location. Proficient luck and don't give up, just like somebody already mentioned the LSAT volume is great, helped me pass.

I am an oooolllld poster on here. Been posting off and on since '09 now. I've said it earlier and say information technology once more: Border Patrol Exam book. I took it once and passed by merely studying with this. It really does help. If y'all need whatsoever help with anything else, PM me. I've gone through the whole process, passed everything and am waiting on the right fourth dimension to go to Quantico (I turned down my September class slot due to personal issues).

Go on trying until they tell you no and close the door in your face. Merely in the meantime, set up, better yourself and apply for other agencies. Best of luck.

you might as well not study. if you failed twice you are completely shut out of the application process.

If you go to the fbi webpage and expect under phase i retest policy information technology doesn't state anywhere near, if i fails the phase 1 examination twice, yous are banned for life from trying to apply again. I retrieve if one would but get two shots at the stage 1 test in a lifetime, information technology would certainly state it under the retest policy. Atleast that's my understanding from reading the phase i retest policy. Smile

"Applicants for the Special Amanuensis position who neglect Phase I testing may exist eligible for ane retest at to the lowest degree six-months subsequently their initial examination date. Applicants who exceed the age limit or who cannot be candy prior to their 37th birthday will not be retested. Due to the overwhelming volume of Special Agent applications, the FBI is only able to offer retest opportunities to those applicants who are found at the time to be the about competitive. This determination is based on applicants' qualifications, skills, experiences, and the FBI'due south investigative needs. Applicants interested in retesting for Phase I should re-apply online for the Special Agent position later on the vi-months waiting menstruation has elapsed."

This is taken directly from the FBI website. It states y'all tin can but retest once and if you are merely deemed near competitive. So there y'all have information technology.

With all due respect, it does non say one and but one retest. Information technology says one retest at least half-dozen months later the applicants initial test appointment. I would non let my future career goals exist dictated off hearsay, e-mail the FBI and inquire for clarification.
